It was in mid-December 2022 when I first talked with Joel Sloggatt, then the General Manager of STSCO in Peterborough. I had heard that STSCO and its nine School Bus Operators were facing a major shortage of school bus drivers in both Peterborough and Northumberland Counties. STSCO and the Operators had both been investing in recruiting advertising, but had not been able to attract enough people to fill their open positions.
After first completing an audit of the 2022 Recruiting Campaigns by both STSCO and its Operators, Joel asked me to design a game-changing recruiting campaign that would attract enough qualified applicants to fill a minimum of 70 open positions in 2023.
