Problems and Opportunities
Over the past 25 years, I been asked by CEOs for ideas, advice and help solving all types of problems in their companies, and also for help capitalizing on opportunities. Not only have these been marketing and advertising related, but they have extended to media communications, talent acquisition and retention, strategic planning, culture building, expansion planning, executive team building and change management.
Does One (or more) of these Challenges Sound Familiar?
- Despite all the planning and effort by your team, you’ve got some major shortfalls in revenues and you need ideas and an action plan to address this ASAP.
- Your average revenue and gross margin per customer are declining and you need a plan to turn this situation around and quickly.
- You need staff at all levels and your current recruiting activities aren’t delivering enough of the “right” new applicants to fill your open positions.
- Your company isn’t doing a good enough job marketing itself to attract new talent.
- Your competitors have been poaching some of your best people, and this problem is costing you money and causing a lot of stress in the organization.
- You have a small team and limited resources – they’re very capable but need help developing a new, big picture strategy.
- Your senior team is doing a great job managing your talent and culture but your customers and suppliers don’t seem to know much about this part of the company.
- Your Board has asked you for a new strategic plan as the old one is no longer relevant and has fallen into disuse.
- Your Bank Manager just asked you for a new business plan before they consider your loan request to buy a small competitor.
- You’re losing the battle online for new customers and you haven’t been able to fix this on your own.
- You’re not getting enough customer leads and inquiries from your website and don’t know what to do about this.
- You’re frustrated because you’re losing sales proposals to competitors and need help determining what you should be doing to reverse this issue.
- You just lost a very senior manager and need help replacing them and advertising their position.
- Your senior staff keep telling you that your company isn’t doing enough to market its reputation online.
- You are getting a lot of Google one-and two-star reviews and don’t have a plan in place to respond to them and improve your customer buying experience.
- You feel that everyone on your executive team is not on the same page and needs to refocus on the important priorities for the next six months.
- You think that your social media posts aren’t helping your business – they’re hurting it.
- The CEO of your largest competitor just approached you about buying their company.
- You’ve got a product (or a division or service) that’s got great potential, but it needs special attention and its own plan for growth.
